This is our first Cabernet Sauvignon from the Sturm Gardner Vineyard in Mariposa County which shows black cherry upfront with creamy leather tobacco notes on the finish. This will be a Cabernet to enjoy with your favorite meal.

This recipe is shared on our website courtesy of Jill Hough, author of 100 Perfect Pairings: Small Plates to Enjoy

1 cup drained pitted brine-cured nicoise or kalamata olives, 1 cup drained pimento-stuffed Spanish Olives (martini olives), 1/2 small orange, cut into 6 chunks (including the peel), 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil, 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, whole wheat crackers.

In the bowl of a food processor, combine the olives, orange (including the peel), olive oil, and pepper and pulse to make a coarse puree, scraping down the bowl as necessary. (You can prepare the tapenade up to 2 days in advance, storing it covered in the refrigerator. Return to room temperature before serving.) Taste, ideally with your wine, and add more pepper if you like. Transfer the tapenade to a small bowl and serve with the crackers on the side.
